Supported Databases

OpenLM is provided with an embedded DB but it also supports external databases. The following databases are supported:

ORACLE

Versions 10i and 11g: Tested and supported.

MS SQL SERVER

Versions 2005/ 2008/ 2008-R2: tested and supported.

FIREBIRD SERVER

Version 2.5.0: Tested and supported.

OpenLM EasyAdmin

OpenLM EasyAdmin is OpenLM’s management interface. It can run on any standard browser. We have tested it on the following browsers:

MOZILLA FIREFOX

Version 3.6 or higher: Tested and supported. 

MICROSOFT INTERNET EXPLORER

Version 6: Not supported.
Version 7: Supports EasyAdmin version 1.5 & 1.6
Version 8 or higher: Supports EasyAdmin version 1.7

GOOGLE CHROME

Version 6 or higher: Tested and supported.

OpenLM Agent

GENERAL

The OpenLM Utilizer Agent is included within the OpenLM package. It provides license usage information for  end users. The OpenLM Utilizer Agent is provided in two versions:
 

• OpenLM Utilizer Agent for Windows platforms - Requires .NET Framework and targeted for all windows platforms.
• OpenLM Utilizer Agent (Java) - Requires Java JRE and supported on any platform that supports Java. This version is targeted for UNIX/Linux platforms.

The Active Agent is another OpenLM component for end users. It contains all the features of the OpenLM Utilizer Agent, and in addition it is able to close idle software sessions. The OpenLM Active Agent requires additional licensing, and is only provided for Windows platforms.

SUPPORTED PLATFORMS

OPENLM AGENT SUPPORT FOR TERMINAL SERVERS

OpenLM Agent is built to work on any terminal server software (e.g. Microsoft Terminal Server, Citrix). If you installed OpenLM Agent on another terminal server software please update us.

OPENLM FOR ESRI ARCGIS (ARCVIEW, ARCEDITOR, ARCINFO)

OpenLM provides dedicated functionality for ESRI ArcGIS Software. The OpenLM Agent supports ESRI ArcGIS Versions 9.1, 9.2, 9.3, 9.3.1, 10.0, 10.1.

OPENLM FOR AUTODESK SOFTWARE

OpenLM provides dedicated functionality for the Autodesk software. The OpenLM Agent supports Autodesk Versions 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 & 2011.

OpenLM supports any platform based on Autodesk Autocad. We have tested it with Autocad and Autocad Map 3D. It is designed to provide full functionality with any other Autodesk software like: Autodesk Inventor, Autodesk Architect, Autodesk Civil 3D, etc.

OPENLM FOR MATLAB

OpenLM provides dedicated functionality for Matlab software. The OpenLM Agent supports Matlab version 2011B. At the time of writing this document revision (Rev 1.0), other Matlab versions have not yet been tested.

OpenLM Broker

The OpenLM broker is an optional (though highly recommended) component that is installed on the license server machine. It provides additional usage information such as license denial reports, and facilitates precise license usage reporting.

SYSTEM REQUIREMENT

The OpenLM Broker is designed to run on any platform supported by the license server.
The installer and configuration wizard of the OpenLM Broker require the installation of Java JRE v1.6 (or higher) on every license server platform.

OpenLM Light Version Requirements

The OpenLM Light version has the same requirements as the full version of OpenLM Software.
