License usage details
A timestamped table of concurrent license usage per feature and hour, with minimum, maximum and average concurrency.
In the product this report is the License Usage Details sheet of the License Management dashboard. You also reach it by drilling through from License usage.
This report provides a tabular view of concurrent license usage for a specific feature, offering detailed insights into how much of the available licenses users actively consume in each hour.

Visualizations
- License Usage Details Table: The License Usage Details Table provides a detailed, timestamped view of license usage activity. For the selected time range, it captures 3 key concurrent usage metrics: Minimum Concurrent Usage, the lowest number of licenses a feature uses simultaneously, indicating the lightest system load; Maximum Concurrent Usage, the highest number of licenses a feature uses simultaneously, reflecting peak demand; and Average Concurrent Usage, the average number of licenses a feature uses simultaneously, which helps describe typical system behavior.

Filters:
-
Date: A relative date filter. It defaults to Last 14 days and prints the resolved range underneath (for example,
2026/07/11 to 2026/07/24). Select another preset, or a custom start and end date, to change the reporting period. -
Server Name: Users can select any server name from this filter.
-
Vendor: Users can select any vendor from this filter.
-
License Type: Users can select any license type from this filter.
-
Additional Key: Users can select any additional key from this filter.
-
Feature Name: Users can select any feature name from this filter.
-
Product Name: Users can select any product name from this filter.
-
Version: Users can select any version from this filter.
-
Software Name: Select a catalogued product from the SAM Catalog. The catalog normalizes publisher and product names, so filtering here groups license records that carry inconsistent raw license strings.
Interpreting this report
- Max is your sizing number; Average is your habit number. Max Concurrent Usage per hour shows how high demand spiked; if the average sits far under the maximum, the load is bursty and a smaller pool with occasional waits might be acceptable. Averages close to the maximum mean sustained pressure - no quiet hour exists to absorb a smaller pool.
- Min Concurrent Usage greater than zero for every hour of the day is worth noticing: sessions that never close exist. Long-running checkouts that survive overnight are visible here before they appear as idle time in License activity.
- Filter to a single feature before comparing numbers - the rows mix features, and concurrency only means something against that feature's own pool size.
