Configure Unmanaged Processes #
- Please make sure you have a single OpenLM Server installation on a central network server.
- Also, make sure you have an OpenLM Workstation Agent installation on the end-user workstation.
- Be sure to follow the Agent Procedures configuration process.
- Click Start –> Administration –> Unmanaged Processes.
- Click Add Vendor –> Name the new vendor –> Click Add –> Input the following details:
- Feature Name –> A descriptive name of the feature (Like AutoCAD, Siemens NX, etc.).
- Process Name –> the application process name itself (Like acad, ugraf etc.).
- Description –> Free field for adding feature description.
- Click Save.
- Select the new feature from the bottom list –> Click Edit –> Check the box Enabled –> Fill in the following:
- Quantity –> How many workstations with the applications you are monitoring or how many licenses are allocated to this application.
- Track Process idle time –> Apply if you want to track end-user applications idle time –> Set to 1 minute.
- Process release method –> Select Procedure –> Select procedure name by clicking +.
- Check the box Enable automatic process release functionality
- Start releasing processes after usage rate of –> Set the usage threshold you want to start closing processes if surpassed.
- Idle Time Release Threshold –> Idle time threshold for closing applications.
- (Please note that both thresholds have to be surpassed in order to close a session)
- Click Save.
- Continue with configuring other OpenLM Features.
