Broker Status Error Description: DOWN: TS-BR006

Symptoms:

OpenLM broker shown as down at all times.

Solution:

1. Check for relevant notifications in the EasyAdmin Start → widgets → Alerts window.

In the Broker configuration window: Select the relevant port, and:

2. Make sure the license server name is typed exactly the same as in the OpenLM Server configuration tool

3. Make sure the vendor is typed exactly the same (case sensitive) to the vendor name on the license file (that’s also the name you get when clicking the ‘Check’ button in the OpenLM Server configuration tool).

4.  Status command:

Click the ‘Execute’ button in the  ‘Status’ command and check the output.

If it does not produce a result, change the default executable (lmutil.exe for FlexLM, i4blt.exe for IBM-LUM etc.) command: edit the default path (C:\Program Files (x86)\OpenLM\ …) in the ‘status’ command to point to the original executable you got from your vendor. Click ‘Apply’ and “Restart Broker”.

Switching to the vendor’s original executable may be a good idea anyway, in order to avoid any version discrepancies between the license server version installed on the license server machine and the one provided in the OpenLM default path.

 

5. Click the ‘Execute’ button in the “Data inquiry” command, and check the output.

6. After making changes, give the system some time (1 min) to propagate them. If these changes still have not helped, send us logs:

  • Set the OpenLM Server and Broker logging level to ‘ALL’,

  • Stop the OpenLM server service and OpenLM Broker service

  • Delete the OpenLM Server log files: C:\Program Files\OpenLM\OpenLM Server\Log

  • Delete the OpenLM Broker log files: C:\Program Files\OpenLM\OpenLM Broker\Log

  • Restart the OpenLM server service, and OpenLM Broker service.

  • Wait 10 minutes, and verify that you see the same indications in the EasyAdmin “License Servers” window

  • Zip and send the OpenLM server and OpenLM Broker log file directories to support at openlm.com
