Trial/Evaluation software: Know the Rules!
It is often easy to get access to an evaluation or trial version of a software.
However, these free copies come with some rules of Usage. Any deviation from the controlled use could Cost the Organization and the Individual huge losses impacting finances, jobs, and market reputation.
In recent times, many organizations have paid penalties in Millions of dollars($) due to the lack of awareness and control of Trial version usage.
Few important aspects to know about Evaluation/Trial licenses:
- Business Requirement?
- Usage Policy as defined by the vendor/publisher
- Existing user-level Software Usage Controls in the organization
- Monitoring the Project or Department level usage of the applications
- Risk of misuse and consequences

Cycling for Success: How Endurance on the Road Translates to Excellence at Work

I bring my passion for cycling into my work as a technical writer at OpenLM. Both activities require focus, endurance, and precision. As I plan and execute long-distance bike tours, I approach each project with a clear strategy and determination. My most recent cycling achievement was completing an 800 km Hospices of Hope Bike Tour to support a palliative care center in Chisinau. This demanding endeavor taught me valuable skills I apply daily, such as adapting to changing circumstances and remaining focused on the finish line. I’m driven by a desire to succeed, whether on the road or at my desk, and I take pride in delivering exceptional results.
