OpenLM SAM Annapurna - What is it?

OpenLM SAM Annapurna version is our transition from software license management to software asset management capabilities. Built on modern architecture and powered by AI, this new release provides enhanced scalability and performance to meet today’s business demands.

Here’s how the new OpenLM SAM Annapurna elevates your license management:

Welcome to the era of
smart software asset management

Over the past two years, our engineers have poured their expertise into crafting a cutting-edge software asset management solution. We named it OpenLM SAM. Like the climb from software license management to software asset management, our pursuit of IT asset management excellence is ongoing. We’re constantly evolving, innovating, and seeking new ways to empower our users.

OpenLM SAM Annapurna—what’s new?

Microservices-based architecture

The previous version of OpenLM SLM was a monolithic license management solution, with all license management functionalities contained in a single product. As a result, if there was an issue, it would affect the entire system and may lead to further complications.

However, in OpenLM SAM Annapurna, key features of software asset management are available as independent microservices. As a result, now you can resolve issues appearing in one product without affecting the other. Also, with this, you can get support for a large number of Agents and users in OpenLM SAM without any complication.

Unlimited scalability with Docker and Kubernetes

As software asset environments differ across organizations, a one-way-fits-all approach doesn’t work when it comes to effective asset management.

That’s why OpenLM SAM features integration with Docker and Kubernetes. As a result, we can deploy services on customer nodes and automate number of instances based on exact requirements.

Next-generation Agent functionalities

We also upgraded OpenLM Agent to significantly improve its monitoring capabilities. Now, it can monitor processes and website activities.

The capability of monitoring USB device use was already there. However, with the Annapurna functionalities, now OpenLM SAM can track offline usage of the dongle too—once it is reconnected to the OpenLM system.

BI-powered granular reporting

No more straining your eyes and testing your patience in browsing Excel sheets. With visually appealing graphs, OpenLM SAM makes it simple to understand OpenLM Reports at one glance—no technical skills required.

Enjoy limitless reporting capabilities with OpenLM with premium BI tools such as PowerBI, Grafana and Quicksight.

Advanced user experience (UX) for enhanced navigation

With OpenLM SAM, our UX has become smarter. In this version, we have introduced the following:
