Sentinel SuperPro License Manager

Follow these steps to configure OpenLM to monitor license usage and retrieve statistics from the Sentinel SuperPro license manager.

Requirements

  • OpenLM Platform

  • OpenLM Broker v25.x or higher installed on the same machine as Sentinel Super PRO, and approve it in Broker Hub.

The current monitoring capabilities available for Sentinel SuperPro through OpenLM Broker are:

Using the Broker component also provides:

  • Buffered communication to OpenLM Server

  • Ability to remotely start/stop the license manager service

OpenLM Broker configuration

Install and configure OpenLM Broker on the same machine as Sentinel SuperPro before proceeding.

Automatic Broker configuration

  1. Open Broker UI at http://localhost:5090/.

  2. Go to License Managers -> Detect

  3. Sentinel Super PROshould appears

  4. Validate and save

  5. Open Broker UI at http://localhost:5090/.

  6. Go to License Managers -> Add License Manager.

  7. Enter the port number and select Sentinel SuperPro from the LM Type dropdown. Click Add.

  8. In the Commands tab, ensure the Data Inquiry command path is correct.

  9. Go to the Vendors tab -> Add Vendor, enter Sentinel SuperPro, and click Continue.

  10. Click Save.

    Configure OpenLM Platform

  11. Log in to OpenLM Platform.

  12. From Menu, go to License Servers.

    On left menu, select Pending Server

  13. On left menu, select Pending Server

  14. On the list, select the Sentinel Super PRO license manager and click on Approve and Merge

    Verifying the configuration

  15. In OpenLM Web Interface -> Menu -> License Servers Live -> Server Statistics.

  16. Ensure Sentinel Super PRO appears in the list with a green status indicator.

Note: It can take up to 3 minutes for the status to update for new connections.
