What is Licman?

What is Licman (Ansys)?

Licman is the name given to the legacy Ansys license manager for the HFSS. It should not be confused with the license manager of the same name from T-Systems. Most current Ansys software is managed from the Ansys License Management Center, which runs using FlexNet Publisher. Ansys software can also be hardware-protected with a FlexID dongle. Users of Ansys in the cloud can use their on-site licenses to manage their cloud usage. Ansys also offers an “Elastic License”, which allows users to top up if they have a shortfall on their licenses.

OpenLM provides the following functionality for monitoring LICMAN (Ansys) Licenses:-

  • Denials Reporting No
  • Report resolution By Second
  • Borrowed License reporting No
  • Expiration Date reporting Yes
  • Multiple Server Redundancy Support No
  • Token License Support No

LICMAN (Ansys) is only one of over 70 license managers that OpenLM can manage. Check the list.
