One Directory Sync

Introduction

One Directory Sync will notify or delete the user account with the identical email address from registered external Cloud Services when you delete the user entity with the email address from Source Directory. This will be triggered with the Directory Sync synchronization action. This is convenient when your employees are leaving your company with multiple external Cloud Services registered.

Prerequisites

  • *OpenLM Cloud Registration
  • Directory Sync Activation and Configuration if you would like to sync with OpenLM Server DB. (Not necessary if you just want to sync with External Cloud services only)
  • One Directory Sync Activation
  • User entities with email addresses in Source Directory
  • User accounts registered in external Cloud Services with an identical email address


Configuration

    1. Navigate to your Cloud Portal.
    2. Activate One Directory Sync in Cloud Customer Portal.
    3. Set up a source Active Directory in Directory Sync.

    4. Configure the Synchronization setting in Directory Sync.

    5. Set up a default notification email in OneDirectorySync.
    6. Set up a destination Cloud Service in One Directory Sync.
      Add a platform. You can register for multiple services.

    8. Configure according to the WEB UI instructions for each platform.

  1. 9. Check connectivity.
  2. 10. Go to Action Configuration Tab.
  3. 11. Choose the delete options according to Web UI.
  4. 12. Set up a custom email address if you don’t want default notification settings.
  5. 13. Delete the desired user with the email address from Source Active Directory.
  6. 14. Go to Directory Sync and Sync Manually.
  7. 15. The desired user with the email address will be notified or deleted from registered platforms in One Directory Sync according to your selected option.
